Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Branimir Gvozdenović and President of the Municipality of Bar Mr Dušan Raičević have visited the General Hospital "Blažo J. Orlandić" in Bar today and held a meeting with the narrow composition of the Protection and Rescue Team.
Vice President Gvozdenović commended the work of the hospital, considering that in addition to its regular activities, this hospital is now a regional centre for new coronavirus patients (COVID-19) for the Montenegrin coast. In this context, the Vice President also highlighted the contribution that healthcare workers had made to Montenegro and its citizens in this difficult and challenging moment, stating that the excellent results gave the opportunity to simultaneously think about overcoming the consequences caused by this epidemic and its negative impact on the economy.
- This is a time when additional maturity, additional togetherness must be demonstrated, and a call for all stakeholders in the Municipality of Bar to work together to help overcome the effects of the epidemic more easily. The Municipality and its President said they were ready to make their full contribution in that direction, Gvozdenović pointed out.
The Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro pointed out the significant contribution of the Protection and Rescue Team, which performs demanding tasks around the clock, not caring about the fact that they personally expose themselves to additional risk, so that the citizens of Bar would have as few consequences as possible from the COVID-19 virus.
President of the Municipality of Bar Mr Dušan Raičević pointed out that, at this moment and the situation when we were all primarily fighting for the lives and health of our fellow citizens, healthcare was functioning smoothly, and he was pleased with the fact that there had been no new cases of people from Bar positive to the coronavirus for a couple of days. Furthermore, Mr Raičević announced that in the coming weeks the Municipality will issue public invitations for subsidies in the field of agriculture which are planned in the amount of € 200,000, and that it would also issue already planned subsidies for entrepreneurship support in the amount of € 150,000, as well as a public invitation for support for women's entrepreneurship in the amount of € 35,000.
- I am pleased with the fact that we have the support of the Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro, and the fact that the support measures of the Government of Montenegro will also be applied in Bar, he added.
