Women's Parliament on preventing violence against women and domestic violence

Ninth Session of Women’s Parliament will be held today in the Plenary Hall of the Parliament of Montenegro, in the period 11:00 – 14:00, organised by the Gender Equality of the Parliament of Montenegro.

This year's session will be dedicated to the implementation of activities in the field of preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence, during the global campaign "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence".

The Women's Parliament will be opened by the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović. The attendance has been envisages of MPs, chairpersons of MP groups, members of the Government of Montenegro, as well as members of women's associations of parliamentary parties and other parts of civil society, with Ms Marceline Naudi as the guest, the GREVIO Committee Rapporteur for Montenegro, who will present recommendations from the Report on the Implementation of the Istanbul Convention for Montenegro.
