Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro ends the study visit to the Republic of Slovenia

Secretary General of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Aleksandar Jovićević and the Deputy Secretary General, Ms Marija Mirjačić with associates visited the Republic of Slovenia for a study visit on 3-4 July 2019, which was organised as part of the project of cooperation between the OSCE and the Parliament of Montenegro.

The aim of this visit was an exchange of experience on the topic of Managing Employee Performance and a number of similar topics, during which the delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro met with colleagues from the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, representatives of the Ministry of Public Administration of Slovenia, and the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Ljubljana.

During the first day of the visit, the delegation visited the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, and met with the Secretary General, Ms Uršula Zore Tavčar, and her associates, who briefly presented the work of the Assembly, as well as the activities that their institution has implemented with the aim of strengthening the capacity of parliamentary services. Members of the delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro were able to learn of the experiences of colleagues from the Slovenian Parliament, but also to inform them about the experiences and good practices in the work of the Service of the Parliament of Montenegro, and exchange with them views on the challenges and new trends of development based on the work of parliamentary services.

On the second day of the visit, the delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro visited the Ministry of Public Administration of the Republic of Slovenia, whose representatives informed the attendees with the civil service system in Slovenia, the general competency frameworks (CAF), as well as with the strategic approach of planning the work of the state administration of Slovenia, and the manner to measure performance of the work, i.e. key performance indicators (KPIs).

At the end of the two-day visit, a meeting was held with the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Ljubljana, Mr Aleš Čerin.
