The abolition of visas between Montenegro and Iran would enable unhindered arrival of tourists and potential investors, thus creating a favorable business environment, and bringing relations between these two friendly countries to a higher level, said the Ambassador of Iran, H.E. Mr Hossein Molla Abdollahi, at the meeting with the delegation of the Friendship Group with the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Member of the Friendship Group with the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Chairperson of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants, Mr Andrija Nikolić, pointed out that Iran was one of the first states to recognise the independence of Montenegro, setting up good foundations for cooperation at the parliamentary level, which further created the conditions for strengthening cooperation on the political, economic and cultural level. Ambassador Abdollahi agreed that the strengthening of parliamentary cooperation was one of the pillars of bilateral relations, adding that the meeting of members of the two friendship groups, planned for early November in Podgorica, as well as the upcoming official visits between the two countries at the highest level, would greatly contribute to strengthening the ties of two friendly nations.
Ambassador Abdollahi also conveyed the invitation of the President of the Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy of Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr Alaeddin Boroujerdi that had been sent to Mr Andrija Nikolić, Chairperson of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants, to visit Tehran with the aim of intensifying overall relations.
