Friendship groups of the Parliament of Montenegro and the Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran hold a meeting

 

Head of the Iranian Parliamentary Friendship Group with Parliament of Montenegro, Ms Parvaneh Salahshouri, stressed that strengthening of parliamentary cooperation was one of the pillars of bilateral relations, with the remark that a significant step forward in improving the overall cooperation of the two countries would be the mutual abolition of visas, as well as the introduction of a regular airline connection between Podgorica and Tehran.

Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro and the Head of the Friendship Group with the Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr Genci Nimanbegu, expressed his satisfaction with the existence of friendship groups, noting that this form of cooperation, manifested through direct communication of parliaments, has been very efficient mechanism for improving the existing friendly relations between Montenegro and Iran.

Head of the Iranian Parliamentary Friendship Group, Ms Salahshouri, extended the invitation to the Head of the Friendship Group with the Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr Genci Nimanbegu, and its members to officially visit the Islamic Republic of Iran and thus intensify the cooperation at the parliamentary level, which would create, as the interlocutors agreed, stable foundations for strengthening cooperation in the fields of economy, energy, tourism and culture.

The meeting was attended by members of the Friendship Group, MPs Ms Aleksandra Vuković, Mr Miodrag Vuković and Mr Nedžad Drešević.
