Head of the Friendship Group with Ukraine and Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Genci Nimangebu emphasised at his meeting with Charge d' Affaires of Ukraine to Montenegro Ms Nataliia Fiialka that strengthening of parliamentary cooperation was a unique way to establish stronger political and economic relations between the two countries.
Furthermore, Head of the Friendship Group Mr Nimanbegu informed Charge d' Affaires Ms Fiialka on the current political situation, and reminded that Montenegro had recently become a full member of the NATO Alliance and that our country was committed to achieving another key strategic goal - membership in the European Union.
Charge d' Affaires Ms Nataliia Fiialka thanked for the welcome and stressed that she shared the host's opinion on the importance of cooperation at the parliamentary level. Montenegro and Ukraine have friendly relations and have no open issues, and therefore there is an interest in further improving of relations in many fields, Charge d'Affaires Ms Nataliia Fiialka said.
Interlocutors agreed that it was important to work on establishing even better economic relations between the two countries in the upcoming period, especially in the area of tourism and agriculture cooperation. Also, the interlocutors agreed that the establishment of friendship groups, as well as the planning of the mutual visits of members of the two parliaments, planned for the first half of next year, directly contributed to strengthening of bilateral and overall relations between Montenegro and Ukraine.
