Chair of the Montenegro - Ukraine parliamentary Friendship Group Mr Andriy Shypko thanked Montenegro for recognising Ukraine’s strategic ambition to become a member of NATO and the EU, expressing expectation that the expertise and rich experiences of our state from those processes could significantly help Ukraine in fulfilling its vital state interests.
Montenegro strongly supports the current diplomatic efforts towards sustainable solution of the Ukraine crisis, based on sovereignty, unity, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognised borders, Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro and Chair of the Montenegro - Ukraine parliamentary Friendship Group Mr Genci Nimanbegu said.
Vice President Nimanbegu expressed his satisfaction with the existence of friendship groups, noting that this form of cooperation, manifested through direct communication of the parliamentarians from the two parliaments, has been very efficient mechanism for improving the existing friendly relations between Montenegro and Ukraine.
Head of the Ukrainian delegation Mr Andriy Shypko invited Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Genci Nimanbegu and members of the Friendship Group to officially visit Kiev, thus continuing the intensification of cooperation at the parliamentary level, which would, as the interlocutors agreed, create stable foundations for strengthening cooperation in the field of economy and tourism.
Members of the Montenegro - Ukraine parliamentary Friendship Group actively participated in the meeting as well as Mr Andrija Nikolić, Chairperson of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants, and parliamentarians Mr Mirsad Murić, Ms Aleksandra Vuković and Ms Jovanka Laličić.
