Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro takes part in the OSCE PA conference in Vienna

Topic: “OSCE Security Policy – Female Perspectives”

 

Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro, composed of Chairperson of the Gender Equality Committee Ms Nada Drobnjak and member of the Committee Ms Aleksandra Vuković, took part in the conference “OSCE Security Policy – Female Perspectives”, hosted by the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly on 23 March in Vienna.

President of the Austrian National Council Ms Doris Bures and OSCE PA President Christine Muttonen delivered introductory speeches. The present were also addressed by: Hans Peter Doskozil, Federal Minister of Defence and Sports, Ms Valentina Ivanovna Matviyenko, Chairperson of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and Ms Ulrike Lunacek, Vice President of the European Parliament. 

During the panels, the following topics were discussed: “Challenges and perspectives for developing a new pan-European security architecture”, “Strengths and Weaknesses of current OSCE Missions” and “The Role of Women in (the Fight against) Violence-Prone Extremism and Terrorism”.
