Representatives of the Service of the Macedonian Parliament visit the Parliament of Montenegro

Representatives of the Service of the Macedonian Parliament, led by the Head of the Parliamentary Institute, paid a two day visit to the Parliament of Montenegro and met with representatives of the Service of the Parliament of Montenegro.

The topic of the two day meeting, held on 10 and 11 April 2017, was the organisation of the Educational Center of the Parliament of Montenegro, with an emphasis on the educational program of Democracy Workshops "Barbara Prammer" and the implementation of activities under the program "Open Parliament".

The meeting was opened by the Secretary General of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Aleksandar Jovićević, who expressed satisfaction with the continued cooperation between the two parliaments and expressed interest for the educational activities implemented in the Parliament of Montenegro. He pointed out that a modern parliament could not be imagined without a well thought through and developed concept of working with the public, especially young people.

State employees of the Macedonian Parliament had the opportunity to learn more about the activities undertaken in the frameworks of the Educational Center, as well as to visit the Democracy Workshops "Barbara Prammer" and to hear the experiences of employees educating children and young people in the workshops.

Also, they learned more about the realisation of citizens' visits and the organisation of special events within the "Open Parliament" program and had the opportunity to take a tour of the Parliament of Montenegro.
