At today’s meeting, the Committee considered and decided to propose to the Parliament of Montenegro to adopt the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Funding of Political Parties and Election Campaigns, submitted by MPs: Mr Petar Ivanović, Mr Miodrag Vuković, Mr Filip Vuković and Mr Predrag Sekulić.

With regard to the fall of the Russian plane which had killed journalists, artists, and soldiers, President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović sent letters of condolences to the Speaker of the State Duma Mr Vyacheslav Volodin, Speaker of the Council Ms Valentila Matviyenko, as well as the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Montenegro Mr Sergei Gritsay.

At its Fourth Meeting held today, the Legislative Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro considered and positively voted on the Proposal for the Law on Amendment to the Law on Financing Political Subjects and Election Campaigns.

Proposal for the 2017 Budget Law of Montenegro considered

At today’s meeting, the Administrative Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro of the 26th Convocation has initiated the procedure for appointing nine members of the State Election Commission. With regard to that, the Committee called the parliamentary majority and opposition to submit their proposals of candidates immediately, in line with their legal obligations, and no later than Thursday, 29 December 2016 - up to the beginning of the Third Meeting of the Administrative Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro.
