Deputy Secretary General of the Parliament of Montenegro Ms Marija Mirjačić will take part in the Regional Seminar on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), co-organised by the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), to be held in Belgrade on 24 and 25 May.

The seminar for parliaments from Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia will be about Parliamentary cooperation for sustainable development: Combating poverty and promoting health-care.

The event will address topics such as: agenda for sustainable development, the role of the parliament in monitoring the goals of sustainable development, and activities of the states in terms of reducing poverty, improving the quality of health care, combating climate change and involving young people in social and political processes.
