MP Stanišić participates in the round table on the topic “Internal Control of the Police - Independence, Strategies and Methods”

The round table is organised within the Norwegian project relating to the strengthening of integrity in security structures, with support by the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Defence.

 

MP Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić today participated in the round table held on the topic “Internal Control of the Police - Independence, Strategies and Methods”, in Budva. The round table is organised within the Norwegian project relating to the strengthening of integrity in security structures, with support by the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Defence.

The aim of organising the round table was to gather representatives of services of internal control in the region, as well as experts from international organisations, so that they could exchange views on normative standards, organisational models, best practice and experiences, and highlight the significance of this field and share new ideas which could strengthen the integrity of internal control of the police and their work.

In that context, the discussion was focused on presentation of models and elements of internal control in the state structures in Montenegro, Serbia, Norway, and Hungary, as well as on the rule of law and integrity in the sector of internal control with stress on the normative framework, independence, tasks and resources, employment of officers, challenges and manners to overcome them.
