The high-level conference on “Bridging the gap between youth policy, youth participation and parliamentarians in the Western Balkans”, organised by the European Commission and the European Parliament, has begun in Skopje today. The delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro participates in the conference, in the following composition: Mr Momčilo Martinović, Mr Bogdan Fatić, and Mr Danijel Živković.
The conference was opened by the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia Mr Talat Xhaferi, which was followed by the keynote session “Bridging the gap between youth and politics”. This was followed by the simultaneous panel discussions on: youth participation in politics, youth employment, entrepreneurship and brain drain, fake news and disinformation, reconciliation and legacies of the past.
MP Mr Momčilo Martinović spoke as a panellist on “Youth participation in politics”, which included Mr Fabio Massimo Castaldo, Vice President of the European Parliament, as one of the speakers. In his remarks, Mr Martinović made an overview of experiences and good practices from Montenegro.
MPs Mr Danijel Živković and Mr Bogdan Fatić actively participated in discussion on “Youth employment, entrepreneurship and brain drain” and “Reconciliation and legacies of the past”.
The conference will continue tomorrow, when the adoption of concrete conclusions and declaration is expected.
