Conference on Youth Policies and Youth Participation ends

Day two of the high-level conference on “Bridging the gap between youth policy, youth participation and parliamentarians in the Western Balkans, organised by the European Commission and the European Parliament, began by panel discussion on "Encouraging political dialogue and consensus".

The panel discussion particularly stressed the efficiency of Jean Monnet Dialogue, EP’s instrument used in Macedonia, providing mediation and informal political dialogue among representatives of different political parties in Sobranie.

During the continuation of the Conference, the rapporteurs of four panel discussions on: “Youth participation in politics”, “Youth employment, entrepreneurship and brain drain”, “Fake news and disinformation“ and “Reconciliation and legacies of the past”, presented the key laws and proposals for acting in these fields.

The conference ended with the adoption of the Declaration, where the young parliamentarians and representatives of youth organisations from the Western Balkans expressed readiness to carry out concrete activities to encourage political participation of youth and implementation of youth policies.

The delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro took part in the two-day conference, in the following composition: Mr Momčilo Martinović, Mr Bogdan Fatić, and Mr Danijel Živković.

During their stay in Skopje, delegation of the Parliament met Montenegro’s Ambassador to the Republic of Macedonia Mr Predrag Mitrović with associates.
