A group of students of the Faculty of Law of the University “Mediterranean” visits the Parliament of Montenegro

The visit is organised within the “Open Parliament” programme

A group of students of the Faculty of Law of the University “Mediterranean” visited the Parliament of Montenegro today.

Within their practical training, which according to the new Law on Higher Education should amount 20% of the total curriculum, future lawyers who are attending the course Parliamentary Law with Professor Miodrag Vuković had an opportunity to hear about the manner of work of the Parliament of Montenegro, its functioning and responsibilities.

After the usual tour of the Montenegrin Parliament building, the students talked with MP and Chairperson of the Gender Equality Committee Ms Nada Drobnjak, and Secretary of the Legislative Committee, representative of the parliamentary expert service Mr Vlatko Šćepanović.

They mostly discussed about the work of parliamentary working bodies, adoption of laws and plenary sessions.

Students learned also about historical development of parliamentarism in Montenegro, as well as about activities of the current 26th Parliament of Montenegro.

Visit by the students of the Faculty of Law of the University “Mediterranean”, within the “Open Parliament” programme, as noted, contributes to education of youth.
