Students of the fifth grade of “Vladimir Nazor” Primary School visit the Parliament

Students learned about the manner of work the Montenegrin Parliament

Students of five classes of the fifth grade of “Vladimir Nazor” Primary School from Podgorica today have visited the Parliament of Montenegro.

During their tour of the Montenegrin Parliament’s building, the students learned about the manner of work and operation of this institution.

During the visit, they had an opportunity to hear about the following: role of MPs, their responsibilities, political parties, voting rights, formation of the parliament after elections and chairing of the first - constitutive sitting of the Parliament of Montenegro. Also, they gained knowledge on the timing of parliamentary sessions, how a proposal for law becomes the existing law, and about the recording, broadcasting and following of parliamentary sittings.

Aside from the Great Hall, students of the fifth grade of “Vladimir Nazor” Primary School also visited the Blue Room and White Room.

Today’s visit is a part of the Open Parliament project of the Parliament of Montenegro.
