Work experience

From 1985 to 1988 he was the secretary of the Sport and Recreation Centre "Kotor", and after that until 2002 he mostly played and worked abroad.

From 2002 to 2005 he worked as the director of the Direction for Planning and Construction of Kotor.

From 2005 to 2012, he was the Vice President of the Municipality of Kotor.

From 2008 to 2009, and from 2012 he was an MP of the Liberal Party at the Parliament of Montenegro.

He is the President of the Montenegrin Olympic Club, and a member of the Marketing and Communication Commission of the European Olympic Committee.

In several terms of office he was elected councillor of the Liberal Alliance and the Liberal Party at the Local Assembly of the Municipality of Kotor. He is one of the founders of the Liberal Party of Montenegro,

At the extraordinary conference of the Liberal Party in 2009, he was elected the Party’s president, and re-elected in 2013.

He is the Vice-President of the Liberal International.

He is one of the most decorated Montenegrin athletes. As a member of the Water Polo Club "Primorac" from Kotor, among other things, he won gold medals with the water polo representation of the SFRY at the Olympic Games of 1984 in Los Angeles, World Championship of 1986 in Madrid, Mediterranean Games of 1983 in Casablanca, and several silver medals in European championships and Universiade, and at the club level he won two European Champions Cup in 1989 and in 1990.

He was declared the best athlete of Montenegro in 1985. He was the Head of Mission of Montenegro at the European Games in Baku in 2015 and the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016.

He speaks Spanish and English, and has basic knowledge of Italian.

He is married, with three daughters.
