MPs and MEPs today in Strasbourg at SAPC

President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović today will head a delegation in the European Union‑Montenegro Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) which will take place in the European Parliament’s building in Strasbourg.

MPs and MEPs will discuss the status of accession negotiations, progress in the rule of law and media freedoms, and EU-Montenegro relations. They will also cover the activities of the Committee on Further Reform of Electoral and Other Legislation, as well as economic and fiscal reforms.

In addition to MPs, Montenegrin delegation will include Chief Negotiator Mr Aleksandar Drljević.

Following the end of the SAPC meeting, the Declaration and recommendations will be adopted.

About SAPC: The EU-Montenegro Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) was set up in June 2010, and consists of members of the Parliament of Montenegro and of the European Parliament. Meetings are held biannually in Brussels or Strasbourg and in Podgorica.  The SAPC considers all aspects of relations between the EU and Montenegro and, in particular, the implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement.
