Upon the invitation by Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan National Assembly Mr Valeh Alasgarov, Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro and Chair of the Montenegro - Azerbaijan parliamentary Friendship Group Mr Genci Nimanbegu has attended and taken part in the ceremonious event on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Azerbaijan National Assembly.

In his address to the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Genci Nimanbegu said that today Azerbaijan was following tendencies and ideals of a developed democratic state, with its good and efficient management, socio-economic progress and development of human capital, and its ever increasing role and prestige in the international relations.

The reasons of very good and meaningful relations come from similar values cherished by both Azerbaijan and Montenegro, and confirmed by the continuity of official visits at all levels, this is a joint assessment of the Vice President and his Azerbaijani interlocutors.

During the meeting with Mr Iqbal Mammadov, Chair of the Azerbaijan -Montenegro parliamentary Friendship Group and Vugar Aliyev, Montenegro’s Honorary Consul in Azerbaijan, a visit by the Azerbaijan - Montenegro parliamentary Friendship Group to the Parliament of Montenegro was agreed.
