Montenegro and Jordan have been committed to creating peace and good neighborly relations and they have been recognised internationally as stability factors in their regions - was the joint assessment at the meeting of members of the Friendship Group of the Parliament of Montenegro with the Ambassador of Jordan, H.E. Mr Ricardo Fawwaz Al-Eitan.
The Head of the Friendship Group of the Parliament of Montenegro with the Parliament of Jordan, Vice President Genci Nimanbegu, emphasised that the existing good cooperation with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan should be further strengthened, noting that parliamentary diplomacy, manifested through the direct communication of MPs of two parliaments within the friendship groups, has been a very practical mechanism for improving the existing friendly relations between Montenegro and Jordan.
Ambassador of Jordan H.E. Mr Ricardo Fawwaz Al-Eitan informed members of the Friendship Group with the current situation in Jordan, as well as with potential forms of cooperation in the field of economy, education and health, by establishing joint investment projects aimed at more active trade exchange. Additionaly, tourism is vital for the national economy of both Jordan and Montenegro and in that part it is important to make quality conditions that would pave the way for renowned investors from Jordan to Montenegro and vice versa. Ambassador Al-Eitan invited members of the Friendship Group to visit Jordan early next year and thus turn a new page of parliamentary relations between the two countries.
The meeting was also attended and actively participated in by MPs Ms Sanja Pavićević, Mr Momčilo Martinović and Mr Miodrag Vuković.
