Donation of ten thousand of medical protective masks, which reached the Parliament of Montenegro last week, with coordination of Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Branimir Gvozdenović and President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace Ambassador Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Jarwan, has been sent to the National Coordination Body (NCB). At yesterday's session, the NCB recommended that a thousand pieces should be donated to the Parliament, at their request, while the remaining part, nine thousand masks, will be directed to "Montefarm", which will distribute the donated equipment in accordance with the needs of the Crisis Medical Staff.
The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace has sent protective medical equipment to 48 countries, including Montenegro, emphasising that the aid is intended for those standing in the first line in the fight against corona virus.
Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Branimir Gvozdenović, began cooperation with the President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, Ambassador Al-Jarwan, during his visit to the United Arab Emirates, on the occasion of forming the friendship group with the Parliament of the United Arab Emirates, in November 2018.
In his letter sent to Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Al-Jarwan, Mr Gvozdenović stressed the importance of contribution given by this global organisation and the manner in which it is pragmatically helping to 48 world states.
To remind, the Global Council for Peace is an international organisation aiming to lay down the principles and values of peace and tolerance in the world, with an emphasis on the younger population and with the support of the UN. This global organisation stresses as basic principles the increase in the value of tolerance and the spread of a culture of peace, the fight against discrimination, racism, religious and ethnic and sectarian extremism, as well as the development of norms of international law that strengthens the principles of tolerance and peace.
