Letter of condolence on the death of Mr Mladen Lompar

President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović has sent a letter of condolence to the family Lompar on the death of reputable author Mr Mladen Lompar, stating the following:

“Mladen Lompar was a prominent Montenegrin artist of outstanding gift, whose deeds were inspired by distant Montenegrin history and tradition and were reflected in contemporary literary trends and movements that have placed our literature on the map of European and world art.

Also, Mladen was a staunch intellectual, with brave thoughts and deeds in times difficult for Montenegro and its future. He was able to see and anticipate, to react and advise, but also to wisely restrain himself and others, in order to preserve civil peace and respect, and above all Montenegrin identity and culture.

Behind him will remain a human and artistic work as an invaluable cultural heritage from which future generations will draw material  in the same was that he drew from Dukley and Montenegrin legends and history, knowing that human is transient, and spiritual - eternal.“
