President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia Mr Milan Brglez will pay a visit to Montenegro on Monday, 11 September, upon the invitation of President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović.

Apart from his host President Brajović, the President of the National Assembly will meet with other top officials of Montenegro. Mr Brglez also showed interest in meeting with representatives of the three parliamentary committees, members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group of Montenegro and Slovenia, as well as representatives of the opposition parliamentary parties.

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia is the first speaker of a EU member state, who is coming to visit Montenegro in the 26th Convocation of the Parliament.

As of 1 July of the current year, Slovenia has been chairing the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP).
