President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia Mr Milan Brglez will pay a visit to Montenegro on Monday, 11 September, upon the invitation of President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović.

Apart from his host President Brajović, the President of the National Assembly will meet with President of Montenegro Mr Filip Vujanović and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Srđan Darmanović.

In the Parliament, Mr Brglez will have meetings with representatives of the Committee on International Relations, Committee on European Integration, and Security and Defence Committee as well as with representatives of the Parliamentary Friendship Group of Montenegro and Slovenia, and representatives of the opposition parliamentary parties.

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia is the first speaker of a EU member state, who is coming to visit Montenegro in the 26th convocation of the Parliament.

As of 1 July of the current year, Slovenia has been chairing the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP).
