During the farewell visit of non-resident Ambassador of Cuba to Montenegro Ms Adela Mayra Ruiz Garcia, President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović expressed gratitude for her contribution to development of traditionally good and friendly relations of Montenegro and Cuba, which originate from the time of Yugoslavia. Excellent political relations are a good base for strengthening economic cooperation, particularly in many fields.
The Ambassador of Cuba said that during her mandate and stay in Montenegro she had many opportunities to see friendly relation of the two states and their people. Speaking about Montenegro’s European path, the Ambassador expressed confidence that, by Montenegro’s joining to the European Union, Cuba would get another friend in this organisation, with whom it has a well-developed trade exchange.
The Ambassador also spoke about the consequences of hurricane Irma which hit Cuba, causing casualties and great material damage.
