Mr Brajović and Mr Ma: Mutual support of Montenegro and China to strategic goals of the two states

President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović and Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of the PR of China Mr Ma Peihua, who heads the delegation of this country in an official visit to Montenegro, today stated that Montenegro and China always supported strategic goals of the two states.

After visiting the bridge on Đurđevića Tara and works on the section of the highway Bar-Boljare yesterday, Mr Brajović and Mr Ma today in villa Gorica spoke about modalities for strengthening of the parliamentary cooperation, as a basis for further development of economic cooperation between Montenegro and China.

President Brajović emphasised the importance of the previous Chinese support to Montenegro, including donations and developmental projects in the amount exceeding 20 million euros.  Montenegro, on the other side, as a NATO member and the first next member of the European Union, with its stability and security, represents a stable destination for Chinese investments and it can be an important foreign policy partner of China - President of the Parliament stressed.

Vice Chairman of the CPPCC of the PR of China Mr Ma Peihua symbolically reminded that on this day, eleven years ago, an official bilateral relationship between the two states was established, which are evolving noticeably, and institutions of Montenegro and China should work together on strengthening economic and trade cooperation.

Vice Chairman Ma thanked to President Brajović on his personal contribution, which he has been giving for years, to development of Montenegrin-Chinese relations.

After the meeting, Mr Ivan Brajović and Mr Ma Peihua delivered press statements.
