The meeting of President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović with Member of the Bundestag Ms Kerstin Radomski stressed the importance of holding frequent political dialogue of Montenegro and the FR of Germany, both at the level of parliamentary cooperation and overall relations. The cooperation with the Budestag is important - the President of the Parliament thinks -not only with regard to deciding on further stages of integration processes but also in terms of perception of Montenegro and its development possibilities.
- Germany is one of the major promoters of reforms in Montenegro, and it is also significantly engaged in developmental economic cooperation in many fields - President Brajović emphasised.
He welcomed the continuation of engagement and political support of Germany in all the Western Balkan states on their path towards the European Union. The President of the Parliament has underlined that European perspective of the Western Balkans must remain a priority of the EU, and the success of enlargement policy is a base for long-term stability of this part of Europe.
President Brajović congratulated to MP Radomski for the recent electoral success of the CDU, expressing expectation that the German government would remain at the same course when it comes to the enlargement process. The interlocutors exchanged opinions on political developments in Montenegro, the region and the FR of Germany.
