President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, hosted today, for an inaugural visit, the first resident Ambassador of the Czech Republic, H.E. Mr Karel Urban.
It has been jointly concluded that traditionally good relations and open cooperation between Montenegro and the Czech Republic have existed, as well as a plenty of room for its further improvement, especially in the fields of energy, tourism and education.
Emphasising the full commitment of Montenegro to European integration, President Brajović stressed the importance of respecting the regatta principle.
- Montenegro has come the furthest in negotiations with the EU, we do not want to wait for other countries to reach our level, and we are ready to help the other candidates – said the President of the Parliament.
In particular, there have been discussion on the importance of political dialogue at the highest level, with mutual readiness expressed in strengthening parliamentary cooperation through friendship groups, working bodies and professional services of two legislatures.
