Montenegro and BiH foster good-neighborly politics and regional co-operation

During the meeting of the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr Igor Crnadak, it was stated that two countries continuously developed friendly relations and cooperation based on multi level connections. In the context of strengthening regional stability, the importance of fostering good-neighborly politics and regional co-operation has been highlighted.

The interlocutors welcomed recent adoption of the Enlargement Strategy for the Western Balkans, clearly identifying European perspective of the countries of the region, as well as the importance of evaluating individual achievements of each country on the path to the European Union.

President Brajović stressed that respect for the regatta principle was of exceptional importance for Montenegro, as the country that has most advanced in the process of European integration, and confirmed the readiness of our country to help all Western Balkan countries on the European path.

Minister Crnadak stressed it was difficult to imagine the future of the Western Balkans beyond the context of the European Union, important for the strengthening of democracy, institutions and the rule of law.

During the meeting, two officials exchanged views on the current economic situation, and stressed that the prerequisite for more intensive economic cooperation was better infrastructure connection between the two countries.
