President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, will pay a bilateral visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan at the invitation of the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr Ogtay Asadov. President Brajović will meet with high-level state officials, and will also be one of the speakers at the opening of the International Conference "The role of parliamentarians in boosting economic cooperation and cultural ties along the Silk Road".

OSCE PA Silk Road Support Group, which Montenegro has been one of the founders of, gathers 22 countries from Central Asia and Europe, tasked with the need for stronger economic, transport and trade relations between OSCE participating countries, which geographical position and historical connections that represent an ancient trade corridor used for trading in the Late Middle Ages and that connected the Mediterranean and East Asia.
