During the visit of the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Podgorica, Mr Luka Zelioli, with the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, the satisfaction with friendly relations between the two neighboring countries has been stressed.
The interlocutors emphasised the importance of further intensification of economic cooperation and trade relations, with Ambassador Zelioli highlighting agriculture, sustainable tourism and environmental protection as priority areas of cooperation.
With the emphasis on the importance of further improvement of the cooperation of the legislative authorities of Montenegro and the Italian Republic, the President of the Parliament congratulated the appointment of the new President of the Chamber of Deputies and the President of the Senate of the Italian Republic.
The political situation in both countries and the region of the Western Balkans have also been discussed.
