President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović will pay an official bilateral visit to China, upon the invitation of Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Mr Wang Yang. President Brajović will also meet Chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee Mr Li Zhanshu.

The Parliament of Montenegro is one of the five parliaments worldwide whose presidents are invited to officially visit China this year.

According to the Constitution of the People's Republic of China, the National People's Congress is the highest legislative body in the country, while the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference is the highest political and consultative body of the People's Republic of China. These two state bodies usually gather once a year, for 14 days, which is known as “Two Sessions”.
