- Montenegro and China have achieved historically greatest level of political relations, as well as of mutual respect of two nations - this is the conclusion from the meeting of President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović and Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Montenegro Mr Cui Zhiwei.
The President of the Parliament of Montenegro thanked to the Chinese Ambassador for his contribution to accelerated development of political and economic relations during the previous four years. The interlocutors expressed pleasure with the increased volume of trade, as well as the growing number of Chinese tourists visiting Montenegro. They also discussed scholarships for students from our country, as well as other numerous donations from the People's Republic of China, which is also a confirmation of friendship between the two countries. The interlocutors also talked about Bar-Boljare Highway, as the greatest infrastructural project in Montenegro, whose successful construction will open a new developmental phase in our country.
The recent very successful visit of the President of the Parliament of Montenegro to China was assessed as a significant contribution and additional impetus to both bilateral relations and multilateral cooperation within projects “One belt one road” and mechanism “1+16”.
