President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović has congratulated Eid al-Fitr to the Reis of Islamic community in Montenegro and all citizens of Muslim denomination.

“The communion in faith, mercy and tolerance endorsed by the great Muslim holiday Eid al-Fitr should serve as a paradigm of communion and trust, but also social equality and justice in multinational, multi-confessional and multicultural environments. Montenegro has achieved that and it serves as an example for underdeveloped and many developed democracies in Europe and beyond. By promoting and cherishing conventional human values, primarily spiritual and material harmony of an individual and of community, Eid al-Fitr, as a holiday of giving, personifies virtue, care and sacrifice for our closest ones, but also for all people of good will.
