President of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco Mr Habib El Malki is coming to Montenegro upon the invitation by the President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović, and he will also meet with other state officials.

Visit of Mr Habib El Malki is the first official visit by a Moroccan statesperson to Montenegro. The Kingdom of Morocco was among the first countries to recognise Montenegro. This country has advanced status with the European Union, while successfully working with NATO within the Mediterranean Dialogue. Morocco was the first country in the North Africa region to be granted advanced status, making it a pioneer in the European Neighbourhood Policy.
The Protocol on Parliamentary Cooperation between the Parliament of Montenegro and the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco will create the foundations for strengthening the parliamentary dimension of bilateral relations, including cooperation between parliamentary working bodies, friendship groups, as well as between the staff of the two legislatures.
President of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco Mr Habib El Malki is, among other things, a member of the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco, a professor of economics at the University of Mohammed V, the winner of the French Academy's Grand Francophone Medal and the winner of the French Legion of Honour.
