President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović today received, upon his request, Ambassador of Slovenia to Montenegro Mr Mitja Drobnič, who delivered to him a congratulatory letter of his Slovenian counterpart Mr Milan Brglez.
At the meeting they talked about the visit of President Brglez to Montenegro, possibilities for intensifying cooperation of parliaments of the two countries, particularly through activities of parliamentary committees.
President Brajović reminded of the wide range expert help that Slovenia has been providing to Montenegro since its independence.
- For the last decade, Slovenia has been actively participating in development of Montenegro, supporting it on the path towards the European Union and NATO. Intensive cooperation will accelerate the completion of the Euro-Atlantic integration process, which is of key significance for our country and the region as well, the President of the Parliament of Montenegro emphasised.
To remind, Slovenia is the second European and first European Union country to ratify the NATO Accession Protocol for Montenegro.
Ambassador Močnik informed President Brajović on the forthcoming activities related to the Development Cooperation Programme and signing of the Agreement on Culture and Education between Montenegro and Slovenia.
