They emphasised an excellent parliamentary cooperation of the Montenegrin Parliament with both houses of the British Parliament.

Projects of the Parliament of Montenegro with British Parliament, Westminster Foundation and Embassy have proved to be an efficient help in concreate projects of great importance for strengthening administrative capacities and oversight role of the Parliament.

The project “Parliamentary Budget Office” is particularly important due to the fact that one of the request of the European Commission is strengthening oversight role of the Parliament of Montenegro over the budget.

- Our MPs and parliamentary staff had an opportunity also with other projects to acquire skills in the field of supervising finances, the President of the Montenegrin Parliament said.

The interlocutors underlined the significance of Commissioner Han’s visit to Montenegro, particularly in the part of encouraging parliamentary dialogue of the government and opposition.
