President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović hosted Bulgarian Ambassador Mr Mladen Chervenyakov, who is ending his diplomatic mission in Montenegro.
Noting that the two countries have traditionally friendly relations, President Brajović thanked the Ambassador Chervenyakov on his personal endeavours for strengthening the overall relations of the two countries.
They interlocutors jointly noted that political dialogue between the two countries at the highest level has never been more intensive, and the President of the Parliament expressed satisfaction that the Speaker of the Bulgarian National Assembly Ms Tsveta Karayancheva would pay a return visit to Montenegro in the autumn. This will be the first visit by the Bulgarian National Assembly Speaker to Montenegro.
President Brajović particularly praised the successful Bulgarian presidency of the EU Council and thanked for the organisation of the Summit in Sofia, as well as for the fact that thanks to the goals of the Bulgarian presidency, the enlargement policy was again in the focus of the EU member states.
