President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, extended a congratulatory message on the occasion of 21 July, Municipality Day of Berane, to its citizens and local government:

"Life and development of a city is like the life and development of a man, because they are entirely dependent on real and fundamental material and spiritual values that are like threads tangled and embedded in their foundation. Berane is a town that has existed in the Valley of the River Lim on solid, moral, multi-ethnic and progressive foundations, for as long as anyone can remember, bringing together far-sighted and free-minded highlanders, but also well-intentioned people and visionaries, who had pictured themselves and their progress in the city below Bjelasica Mountain. By recognising its own natural, agricultural and tourist capacities, and putting into operation human and economic infrastructure, with the close cooperation of local and state administration, I am convinced that Berane is facing better times, as well as the entire north of Montenegro.

In that respect, I congratulate to you the Municipality Day of Berane – 21 July."
