Mr Brajović and Mr Orbán on relationship of full confidence between two countries

The relationship between Montenegro and Hungary is distinguished by openness, sincerity and full confidence, without outstanding issues, representing the best possible basis for achieving results in all areas of mutual interest - it was concluded at the meeting of the President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović and Hungarian Prime Minister Mr Viktor Orbán.

President Brajović stressed the willingness of the Parliament of Montenegro to further intensify the cooperation of the two countries within its responsibilities and thanked Hungary for the strong and open support to NATO and European integration of Montenegro. Regarding the further course of the integration process of Montenegro and the Western Balkans, Mr Brajović emphasised the expectation that the regatta principle as well as the EU's openness to admit new countries would remain a priority for its members. 

Based on several decades of parliamentary experience, the Hungarian Prime Minister pointed out the significance of cooperation between legislative houses, and also pointed out the willingness to strengthen economic cooperation with Montenegro, in areas and projects that our country considered a priority.

The interlocutors agreed that this visit would also additionally strengthen political relations of the countries with a positive historical perspective, and would be encouraging for the strengthening of economic cooperation in the interest of the citizens of both Montenegro and Hungary.
