President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, extended a congratulatory message on the occasion of 4 August, Municipality Day of Petnjica, to its citizens and local government:
"Our cities and regions are like our country – small, but with great history and cultural and historical heritage. Also, our multiethnic, multiconfessional and multicultural harmony, both in the past and in the present, makes diversities coexist and be part of our heritage that much older and more developed democracies in Europe and beyond can envy us for.
The citizens of Petnjica have shared the fate of the north of Montenegro for decades, which had taken many of them away from their homeland – but we are facing better times that, first of all, those who had left feel, but also those who came back, with their ideas and capital, adding impetus to the economic, agricultural and tourist development in Upper Bihor. With the development of the Montenegrin economy and the economy of the north at the same time, with the permanent cooperation of local and state administration on creating conditions for domestic and foreign investments, as well as long-term support to domestic entrepreneurs, rural economies and organisations, I am convinced that the citizens of Petnjica and Bihor can expect better times.
On that behalf, I congratulate to you the Municipality Day of Petnjica – 4 August."
