President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović wishes a happy Eid al-Adha
to Reis of the Islamic community in Montenegro Mr Rifat Fejzić and all citizens of the Islamic faith:
“By spreading love and faith in mankind and the future, the Muslim joyful holiday Eid al-Adha greatly contributes to mutual trust among people, and especially in multi-ethnic, multi-confessional and multi-cultural environments such as Montenegro. In the sea of challenges to which our region had been exposed during its turbulent history, peoples in Montenegro have drawn lessons and turned to the coexistence of diversity as the best possible pattern for promotion of kindness, respect, and solidarity, which are also the values taught to us by the great holiday of Eid al-Adha.
I am convinced that the Montenegrin society is mature enough to respond to all the issues that are inevitably set before us by new times and dilemmas, primarily fostering the original values and postulates cherished by our families and peoples, that was written as a commandment in the old books and tales which the holidays such as the Eid al-Adha remind us of and teach us.
Wishing that the joyful holiday awakens in people charity, kindness and equality, I wish a happy Eid al-Adha to all citizens of the Islamic faith.”
