President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović has sent letters of condolences to President of the US Senate Mr Mike Pence and Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mr Paul Ryan over Senator John McCain's death:

“I would like to convey, on behalf of the Parliament of Montenegro and on my own behalf, sincere condolences and respect to the McCain family and US citizens with regard to departure of distinguished Senator John McCain”.

By the death of Senator McCain, the Republican Party, Arizona, and the United States have lost a prominent leader who has left an indelible mark on the world political scene by his deliberate political action. He shall remain a role model for youth worldwide on how to love your country and an example of uncompromising fighter for high ideals that he firmly believed in.

Senator McCain, whom I had the privilege to meet personally, will be remembered by Montenegro as a great friend who provided an invaluable contribution to strengthening the overall relations between Montenegro and the United States, and in particular the strengthening of the international position of our country. “
