President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović has wished a happy holiday Yom Kippur to the members of the Jewish community in Montenegro and its President Mr Đorđe Raičević:

“As a multi-confessional country, Montenegro rejoices over all the holidays of its peoples, especially those which celebrate forgiveness and reconciliation, as does the most solemn and sacred Jewish holiday Yom Kippur. I believe that the members of the Jewish community in Montenegro will spend this great holiday of atonement and forgiveness in peace, happiness and prosperity, and will send a message to all people of good will in our country and world-wide that there is no alternative to tolerance, respect, and coexistence, especially in multi-confessional, multi-national, and multi-cultural countries such as Montenegro.

In that name, I wish a happy holiday Yom Kippur to all members of the Jewish community.”
