President of the Parliament discussed the conference of the Igman Initiative

President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović talked today with the representatives of the Igman Initiative, the Chairperson of the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare, and representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare on the goals of the upcoming gathering of the four regional parliaments of the state signatories of the Dayton Agreement on the topic of workforce mobility in the Western Balkans. 

The President of the Parliament emphasised the significance of the vitality of the Igman Initiative, which, since its establishment in 1994 has been following the needs of modern society and initiating meetings to discuss and propose solutions significant for the citizens of Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia. President Brajović also voiced his expectation that, with the support of the Montenegrin Parliament, the Igman Initiative conference to be held in December would result in concrete conclusions and proposed solutions aimed at facilitated possibility of employment for citizens of both Montenegro and neighbouring countries, using the best solutions based on the model of regional cooperation of Nordic countries in this area.

The meeting with the President of the Parliament and the Chairperson of the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare Mr Suad Numanović, on behalf of the Igman Initiative was attended by Mr Branko Lukovac, Ms Vesna Simović-Zvicer, and Mr Branislav Radulović, and from the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare Ms Vukica Jelić and Ms Budimirka Đukanović.
