President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović today talked with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia to Montenegro Mr Mihajlo Trpkoski, wishing him a lot of success in conducting his diplomatic mission.
The traditional friendship based on the closeness of citizens of the two countries should be continuously strengthened by improving cooperation in the areas of common interest and fostering economic ties, which should be encouraged by further concretisation of cooperation of the legislative authorities - jointly assessed the interlocutors.
Montenegro, as the youngest NATO member and the country closest to the EU membership, strongly supports all countries in the region wishing to become members of these organisations and is ready to give all necessary support and assistance in terms of sharing its experiences - said President Brajović. He emphasised the significance of stabilising the situation in the region and in the individual countries, aimed at accelerating the EU integration process.
Ambassador Trpkoski pointed out that he viewed the office of his country’s ambassador to Montenegro as a privilege and pleasure, as well as that he would dedicate his term of office significantly to the improvement of economic ties and cooperation between the two friendly countries.
