President of the Parliament pointed out that the results achieved by Montenegro since the renewal of its independence had made our country a full member of the NATO Alliance and the first next EU member, and that it continuously contributed to the stabilisation of the entire Western Balkans region.
- Ukraine and Montenegro share the same foreign policy goals and accordingly there needs to be more intensive work done on the promotion of parliamentary diplomacy, which is reflected through the improvement of the existing great bilateral relations, all aimed at further developing economic cooperation, pointed out the Chair of the Ukraine - Montenegro parliamentary Friendship Group Mr Andriy Shypko.
The interlocutors agreed that the need to strengthen the political and economic ties of the two countries was promoted precisely through a single parliamentary mechanism such as friendship groups, and that strengthening cooperation in the field of tourism could provide additional impetus to the overall relations between Ukraine and Montenegro.
