OMNAF participants present resolutions to President of Parliament

Non-carbon transport, autonomous vehicles, digital era mobility, equal right to education, harmful gas emissions in aviation - these are some of the topics covered by about sixty secondary school students from all across Montenegro who simulated the work of the Parliament in order to learn about democratic procedures and pointed out the significance of youth involvement in the decision-making process.

Participants of the Youth Science Forum have presented today resolutions prepared during the project to President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović.

The President of the Parliament highlighted the satisfaction with the topicality and visionary quality of topics covered, befitting the Forum participants and the digital era in which we live. Mr Brajović said to the Forum participants that they should continue to develop the culture of dialogue, because it represented a key for the understanding and survival of a society.

- Be open to new knowledge, different ideas, positions, world views. Because that is how you become richer. I come from the institution in which the culture of dialogue is tested daily, and us adults take that test every day before the citizens of Montenegro. Sometimes our marks are better, sometimes they are worse, but we should all make an effort. You are always welcome in the Parliament. To hear something useful from us, the MPs, but also for us to hear with pleasure what you have to say on the topics significant for our society, but also the global world in which we live.  Therefore I insist that you remain thirsty for new knowledge and open your minds, because I am convinced that tomorrow you will be true citizens of the world.  You will be a welcome sight in every corner of this planet, and my greatest desire is for you to plan your future in Montenegro.  I believe that a society should be happy with young people who are educating themselves and opening new visions in such manner - concluded the President of the Parliament of Montenegro.

In order to strengthen scientific literacy and democratisation of the knowledge-based decision-making process, Montenegrin Science Promotion Foundation PRONA is a participant in the major European project Youth Science Forum (OMNAF) within Horizon 2020.
