The traditional and friendly relations between Montenegro and China, being continually improved through the strengthening and enhancement of cooperation and intensive political dialogue between the highest legislative bodies of the two countries, are an essential prerequisite and support for increasing the volume of economic cooperation and further development of relations in many other areas – it was concluded at the meeting of the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, with the Chairperson, Mr Li Xueyong and members of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Health of the All-China People's Congress.
President Brajović expressed his satisfaction with the implementation of the worthy projects in Montenegro, both through the bilateral dimension, and through the 16 + 1 mechanism and the Belt and Road Initiative, our country being one of the first signatories.
The Chairperson of the Chinese Committee on Education emphasised that China considered Montenegro a country of rich history and culture, and a great friend in the Balkans and in Europe, contributed greatly by the parliamentary cooperation and personal engagement of the President Brajović. He informed the President of the Parliament about the most important activities of that body and stressed the readiness to use good solutions of reformational laws in the area of education adopted by Montenegro.
The meeting was attended by the Chairperson of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Radule Novović.
The National People's Congress (NPC) of the People's Republic of China is the supreme body of the state power - the highest legislative body, consisting of 2980 members, including the representatives of all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, special administrative regions and the army. The NPC has nine special committees, including the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Health, consisting of 30 members.
