President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, wished a happy Jewish holiday Hanukkah to members of the Jewish community in Montenegro and its president, Mr Đorđe Raičević:

"During the turbulent history of mankind almost all nations have passed a path full of hard work to freedom and independence, and it seems that the Jewish people are the one who had suffered the most.

However, the holidays remind us of the obligation never to forget the ancestors who offered sacrifices, to whom today the Jewish people pay tribute and show gratitude in the light of the candles of Hanukkah for their eternal name and identity in the handfull of nations and religions on our planet.

With a desire that the light and perseverance of Hanukkah will forever shine on your peace, renewal and survival – I wish you a happy great and joyful holiday of Hanukkah."
